My Hawaiian Vacation and The Sun

In a couple months I’m off to gorgeous Hawaii for a joyous respite of merriment in the sunshine. But living in the Rocky Mountain region of the United States, I tend to be more habituated to snow-filled days, even during the spring time.

I’ve created a long list of things to be taken care of before I feel ready for my respite from the rigors of life, some more important than some others. But the one particular item on my list I’m writing about today affects my pasty white skin.

I do know that it is a myth how establishing a base tan can help you prevent sun burning, but that does not halt me from becoming shy and self-conscious about being so white and pale and void of a tan in an area in which everyone is used to dressing in skin-revealing clothes all the while dallying in the sun.

So to assist me to feel at ease and care-free while on my cherished and uncommon vacation time, I’ve inquired the best ways to build a normal appearing suntan before I hit the scenic Hawaii beaches.

One option will be airbrush tanning. With this sunless tanning option, I can have a professional tanning studio carefully compose and tone my bronze to my specification.
