The Symptoms of Tinnitus
Hearing a constant noise when there is no external noise is known as tinnitus. It can just be an annoyance for the sufferer,Tinnitus is a disorder that may indicate a serious underlying problem. While some people with tinnitus are able get some reliefe, other need to live with the internal noise their whole life.
Symptoms can include hearing different noises such as a ringing, buzzing, clicking, roaring, hissing, whistling, whooshing, or pulsing and Tinnitus can manifest in different ways for different people. Some people suffer from tinnitus occasionally or temporarily, such as after ear trauma or exposure to a loud noise, while others have a constant problem.
There are also two types of tinnitus, subjective and objective that have different symptoms. The type of tinnitus that only the sufferer can hear is called subjective tinnitus. It is grossly the most common kind of tinnitus and noises are there that a doctor cannot hear at the time of an exam. The noise experienced by the sufferer can vary but it is annoying and disruptive to daily life. Subjective tinnitus can be caused by damage to parts of the middle or inner ear, the cochlear, auditory nerves, or the part of the brain that interprets the nerve impulses from sound waves.
A less common type of tinnitus is objective tinnitus which can be heard by a physician during an examination. This type of tinnitus is usually caused by vascular or blood vessel problems, muscle issues near the ear canals, or a problem with the ear bones. Usually characterized by a sound that mimics the pulse or heartbeat is this type of tinnitus.
Vary in pitch and volume and can be present in one or both ears,the noise which is the classic symptom of tinnitus can. Because the noise can be hard to deal with and the sufferer can have a hard time functioning normally because of it,severe cases of tinnitus can affect a person’s life. Tinnitus symptoms can come and go or they may be constant and treatments are not always effective.
